Thief Plunders Yerrinbool – 14 Cars Broken Into

Wednesday, 30 May 2012 05:18

car thief A thief has been plundering  the Yerrinbool area with more than a dozen cars being broken into over the last couple of days.

Since Monday Bowral Police have had 8 reports of cars being broken into the Yerrinbool area, with another 6 calls being made to the police assistance line.

There have also been a number of similar incidents in Bowral.

In the majority of cases the vehicles were left un-locked.

Items taken have included cash, sunglasses, GPS devices, a steering lock and even a walking stick.

Police say the best advice is to keep vehicles locked, even when parked in driveways and garages at rural properties, and to make sure any valuables are kept out of sight.

Instead the trees, which arborists say will not last more than 10 years, will stay for the time being, and work on the project has been deferred until October, after the completion of Tulip Time. Work on the upgrade was due to start earlier this... Read more

There are also plans of  establishing an outreach centre to service North and South of the Wollondilly Shire.  Councillor Larry Whipper says the PCYC provides an excellent service to youth, the project has been on...
