Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant has direct reports to and works with daily supervision of the role by the CEO. Therefore, the Executive Assistant will be required to sign a Deed of Confidentiality with high ethical and professional standards for personal conduct. You will provide administrative support to the CEO activities for implementation of The Council’s Community and Land Business Plan.The Council is seeking an enthusiastic candidate to fill the role of Executive Assistant to provide support to the CEO by:Managing and organising the CEO’s appointment schedules for any network meetings;Providing effective and efficient administration to support the CEO including inbox management and managing incoming phone calls;Coordinating papers in preparation for board meetings;Assisting with research for project development and implementation;Assist with applying for grants;Identifying, suggesting and implementing business process improvements;Coordinating and managing records and filings systems in ways that are controlled for sensitive materials with restricted access and for general business.Acting as a liaison and/or intermediary for the CEO from time to time as delegated within the range of your Work Level Standards.Implementing Work plans, assisting with payroll coordination (staffing timesheets) and liaising with team leaders as directed.Assisting the CEO with interagency presentations, participating in meetings and taking minutes for meetings when needed.Undertake training if opportunities to participate in development support the expansion of capabilities to undertake your role effectively and efficiently.Assist with coordinating and attending members meetings during weekends or weeknights when needed.Compliance with Australian, state, and local government laws and policy and procedures administered by The Counci

Skills Required

Your experience in working with Indigenous people and experience working in the South Coast region. Your knowledge on administration in relation to an organisation or land management. Your ability to work to a schedule and provide regular reporting to senior management. Your ability to ability to communicate to a diverse audience on varying topics. For example, Aboriginal communities; government agencies and other not for profit organisations. Your ability to write structured emails, correspondence, and minutes. Your ability to comply with Work Health and Safety rules in the workplace. A Class C driver’s licence.
