Four firefighters from the Southern Highlands are headed to Canada to help fight the country’s wildfires.
That includes Captain Andrew Beville, Deputy Captain James Koens and Firefighter Matt Nutter.
The rural firies will spent two stints of two weeks in the country, working up to 16 hours a day.

RFS Inspector Bradley Collins said Canada is seeing serious wildfires, despite being early on in their fire season.
“I’d say sort of similar, to what we experienced here in the Black Summer bushfires,
“The difference there is they don’t have the built up areas, which back onto the bush,”Mr. Collins said.
