Moss Vale Road between Bunkers Hill and Myra Vale roads on Barrengarry Mountain will be closed in both directions for three nights next week for routine maintenance work.
Work includes land slip repairs, drainage clearing, pavement repairs and drainage installation to reduce the risk of land slips.
Work will be carried out between 8pm and 4am from Sunday 4 August to Tuesday 6 August 2024, weather permitting.
Detours will be in place via the Illawarra Highway, Macquarie Pass and the Princes Highway and motorists should allow an additional 80 minutes travel time. Residential access within the closure area will be maintained.
Work on Moss Vale Road at Cambewarra Mountain will stop while work on Barrengarry Mountain is being carried out.
Cambewarra Mountain will be open under the current stop/slow traffic arrangement and motorists are advised to allow an additional five minutes travel time.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control
