Grant recipients will use the funds to deliver diverse programs including arts and cultural events, sports and recreation activities, and environmental sustainability projects.

Successful applicants were formally recognised at a presentation on Thursday, 22 August 2024.

Local community organisation and band, The Southern Highlands Pipes and Drums, were successful in receiving a $7000 grant to support their expansion.

President Karen Tabram thanked Council for its support. “This money will go a long way towards ensuring that the band is able to continue its growth with many new members, as well as being able to continue to give back to the community,” Karen said.

“We look forward to being able to purchase some much-needed new equipment and uniforms so we can continue to provide the local towns and villages with the best quality performances that our band has become renowned for,” Karen said.
