Eight of New South Wales’ most prized pooches are putting their best paws forward to take out the title of people2people Recruitment’s 2024 OZ Top Dog Awards.
With nominations now closed, 20 finalists have been selected from almost 300 entries for the Top Office Dog and Top Dog with a Job judged categories, while public voting is now open until 9am on the 30th of August for the People’s Choice Award at oztopdog.com.au.
Among the finalists, Miss Ollie, a Labrador from Warilla High and Bomaderry High, NSW Police, Ambulance and Lifeline.
“Miss Ollie has helped so many students impacted by significant mental health challenges with anxiety settled by her chilled presence.
Her other jobs are highly stressful environments where she sits with those taking calls for Lifeline and is there after their shift for a puppy cuddle and chill out for a few minutes.
Back for its 4th year in Australia, the highly anticipated contest salutes all those furry friends who inject the joy into our 9 to 5, and shines the spotlight on the powerful role they play in reducing stress, enhancing workplace wellbeing and boosting mental health.
People2people’s recent Dogs at Work Survey discovered that an incredible 90% of pet owners would rather work for a pet-friendly office, while 75% of workplaces’ employee turnover improved since they became pet-friendly.
