Kiama Council and the NSW Government are investing more than $190,000 to refurbish and upgrade the Joyce Wheatley Community Centre in Hindmarsh Park.
The upgrade includes a new kitchen, audio-visual system as well as a new accessible bathroom.
Once finished the Joyce Wheatley Community Centre will provide a variety of sitting options catering for up to 120 people.

The upgrade means the Joyce Wheatley Community Centre will be closed from the end of September.
The work is expected to be complete by December.
