Kiama Council has met with the three Blue Haven unions and agreed to meet in Kiama on Friday to discuss the matters that they have raised.
A Statement from Council stated, Blue Haven staff are under no obligation to sign the letters of offer until the negotiations with the unions are finalised.
Signing the letter of offer does not mean that staff waive the right to receive acceptable alternative employment as negotiated with each of the unions.

Staff who have already signed or who wish to sign the letter of offer will remain employees of Kiama Council until the applications to the Industrial Relations Commission of New South Wales are approved and that Council has secured acceptable alternative employment.
