The MAKAI Cup 2025
The MAKAI Cup 2025 is set to take place this Saturday 8th February in Ulladulla. This prestigious event is a 22km open ocean paddling race, known for its challenging yet exhilarating downwind experience. The set course offers the best downwind conditions along the stunning South Coast, where paddlers will navigate either the northerly course from Sussex Inlet to Ulladulla Harbour or the southerly course from Bawley Point to Ulladulla, depending on the prevailing conditions.
MAKAI Cup has been held since 2012, showcasing the beautiful South Coast to paddling enthusiasts and their supporters. This year’s MAKAI Cup is shaping up to be the biggest yet, with a record number of competitors. The 2025 MAKAI Cup doubles as the Paddle Australia Canoe Ocean Racing Championships and serves as the qualifying event for the World Championships.
The event is run by local volunteers from MAKAI paddlers, who have working hard to deliver a great experience to ensure paddlers experience the best in South Coast hospitality. MAKAI Cup … More than just a race!
