FIFA have backflipped on a decision to cover up the statue of Jamberoo soccer legend Johnny Warren at Allianz Stadium.
The international governing body had a ‘ clean site concept ‘ for the World Cup, but that all changed after a number of complaints.
Nephew Jamie Warren who owns the Jamberoo Pub said it was really disappointing.

“I felt that decision by FIFA had disrespected not only Johnny, but all the other statues,”Jamie said.
The other statues include Rugby immortals Reg Gasnier and Dally Messenger, rugby players Ken Catchpole and Trevor Allan and Olympic sprinters Betty Cuthbert and Marlene Mathews.
