The NSW SES Wingecarribee and Moss Vale units’ rescue team was activated for a General Land Rescue at the Moss Vale Sewage Treatment Plant.
On arrival, they found an injured worker inside an incomplete concrete structure, accessible only through scaffolding.
Whilst NSW Ambulance paramedics worked to treat and stabalise the patient, our volunteers worked in consultation with structural engineers onsite to cut open access through a wall of rebar.

The patient was then safely extricated and transferred into the care of NSW Ambulance and a Toll Rescue Helicopter team.
