The local bakers at Samuel Gee’s have won Australia’s best veggie pastie!
The pie shop’s sweet potato, spinach and caramelised onion pastie got them a win for the second year in a row.
Owner Nerida Rudolph says they’re thrilled with the result.

“We entered one entry under the vegeterian pastie banner, and normally we do our cornish pasties with rice, but this time we decided to do something different.”
The pasties have proven so popular with locals that they ran out this afternoon.
