Wingecarribee Council’s survey on mountain biking on Mount Gibraltar closes tomorrow afternoon.
Locals are being encouraged to give their opinions, which will be used in a Council action plan.
The tracks are very popular with young people who need a physical outlet, but local environmentalists have spent a lot of time and effort over the years, preserving the area for future generations.
General Manager Lisa Miscamble said they’re keen to hear from everyone.
“We need to balance up the needs and it’s important that we support young people,
” Mountain biking is important, but so to is our environment,”Ms. Miscamble said.
