Southern Highlands koalas have some new mates- Wollondilly MP Judy Hannan has launched the Parliamentary Friends of Koalas.
The group will focus on promoting koala welfare in New South Wales.
Ms Hannan says it’s a win for local koalas.

“What that means for the area is raising issues to a higher level where people like Minister for the Environment Penny Sharpe are involved,”she said.
Ms. Hannan is also Chair of the new group.
