Summer swim time in the Wingecarribee

Get ready to make a splash with extended hours at Bowral pool and plenty of opportunities for family fun as Wingecarribee Shire Council announces the reopening of its seasonal outdoor pools for the 2024/2025 swim season.

You asked, we listened. This season, Bowral Swimming Centre has extended hours and will open to the public a week earlier, on Sunday 6 October, for families to enjoy during the last week of the school holidays.

Bowral Swimming Centre extended opening hours:

Weekdays – 6am to 7pm

Saturdays – 8.30am to 7pm

Sundays – 9.30am to 7pm

Public Holidays – 10am to 5pm
The freshly painted Bundanoon Swimming Centre will reopen on Saturday 9 November
2024 with the following opening hours:

Monday/Wednesday – 6am to 8am and 3pm to 6pm

Tuesday/Thursday/Friday- 3pm to 6pm

Weekends/Public Holidays – 10am to 5pm

Wingecarribee Shire Council Acting Business and Property Manager, James Borbone encourages locals to bring along the family to beat the heat.

“Our outdoor pools offer the perfect environment for a refreshing escape from the hot weather,” said James.

“With brand new electric barbecues at both Bundanoon and Bowral, and plenty of grassy shaded areas, simply pack your picnic blanket and barbecue essentials, and settle in for a day of family-fun.

“Our friendly team of lifeguards are there to ensure everyone stays safe and has a great
time.

We remind all visitors that we follow the Royal Lifesaving Keep Watch at Public Pools
guidelines and supervision of children by parents and guardians is essential.

Remember to stay sun safe and keep hydrated,” he said.
