The Southern Highland Nepalese Festival is set to bring vibrant colours, captivating music, and tantalising aromas to Corbett Gardens, Bowral from 2pm to 6pm, Saturday 1 March.
Wingecarribee Shire Council has organised the festival in partnership with the Southern
Highlands Nepalese Community, the Australian Himalayan Foundation, the Consulate of
Nepal, and the Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA).

The FREE, family-friendly event is a celebration of Nepalese culture and a testament to
the growing Nepalese community in the region.
With over 500 Nepalese residents calling the Southern Highlands home, this event offers
a unique opportunity to experience this rich culture and foster greater understanding and
harmony within the wider community.
The festival promises a delightful afternoon for all ages, featuring:
- Live Music: Enjoy captivating performances by talented Nepalese singers,
showcasing both traditional Nepalese melodies and popular Western songs. - Family Activities: Engage in fun and interactive activities, including kite making (a
significant cultural tradition in Nepal) and face painting for children. - Authentic Nepalese Cuisine: Indulge in a culinary journey with delicious offerings
from popular vendors Momo’s on Wheels and JB’s Kitchen, serving up authentic
Nepalese dishes.
