Wingecarribee Citizen of the Year

Robertson local Jenny Kena has been named the 2025 Wingecarribee Citizen of the Year
today at the Australia Day ceremony in Berrima.

Jenny played a pivotal role in founding the CTC Robertson Inc. in 2004, a not-for-profit
organisation enriching the community through arts, education, and social programs. As
the organisation’s President for the past 13 years, she has been the driving force behind
its success as a thriving, multi-functional community hub. Jenny actively supports daily
operations, including running the cafe, overseeing fundraising and grant applications,
and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

She also commits her time to community initiatives, including editing the Robertson News and e-news, managing the village website, and representing the CTC on the Robertson Community Association.

Through her generosity and consistent dedication, Jenny has transformed the CTC into an
indispensable asset, providing a vital space for community connection, enrichment and a
strong sense of belonging.

The ceremony also acknowledged and celebrated the contributions of 13 individuals and
groups nominated for the award for their ongoing contribution and tireless dedication to
their community.
