Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has used Parliament to acknowledge the work of Kiama local, Judi Sandilands-Cincotta, for her outstanding volunteer work alongside
her therapy dog, Ollie.

Since retiring from a successful nursing career, Judi has devoted her time to Guide Dogs NSW, raising and training labradors since 2018.

Judi and her five-year-old labrador, Ollie, provide much-needed emotional support
across the region.

They visit high schools, police stations, courts, and libraries, offering
comfort to individuals in challenging situations.

“Judi’s dedication, creativity, and care for the community continue to inspire, with many students calling her and Ollie ‘superstars’ for the positive impact they’ve made,” Mr
Ward said.

“I thank Judi for visiting high schools in particular. As we know the mental health challenges experienced by students in the aftermath of COVID-19 have been
extremely difficult, but Judi and Ollie are meeting the challenge head on and are having an overwhelmingly positive impact on the lives of the youth in our region,” Mr Ward concluded.
