About 9:30am Tuesday 1 April 2025, emergency services were called to Anson Street, Sanctuary Point, following reports of a crash.
On arrival, officers attached to South Coast Police District found a man had fallen off his bike onto the roadway.
The rider of the bike, a man believed to be aged in his 50’s was treated at the scene for life threatening injuries before being flown by helicopter to St George Hospital in a critical condition.

As inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced, anyone who may dashcam footage or witnessed the rider travelling on Anson Street or know what happened in the lead up to the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
