Shoalhaven Independents Group’s Denise Kemp has been elected to fill a vacancy left by Mitchell Pakes on Shoalhaven Council.
A countback election was held yesterday (Tuesday 19 November) by the NSW Electoral Commission.
Mr Pakes resigned before he was sworn in because of health reasons.

Ms Kemps’s election in Ward 3 gives the Patricia White led Independents a clear majority on Council.
