Today, Ison & Co. announced the closure of their Sanctuary Point store after over a century of servicing The Shoalhaven with locations in Nowra, South Nowra, Sanctuary Point and Huskisson.
The decision to close was not taken lightly, with the company deliberating for over a year before making the strategic decision to merge operations and redirect clientele to alternative locations.
The site will be sold and all staff have been offered alternative roles at one of the other three locations.
“Since 1917 our family business has been servicing The Shoalhaven,” said Director, Phillipa Loadsman.
“Effective as of 30th March, 2023 we have made the reluctant decision to close our Sanctuary Point store.
Our final day of trading will be 31st May, 2023.” Ison & Co has been servicing the Illawarra since 1917, and will continue doing so despite closing their Sanctuary Point location.
Customers can still expect quality products, professional advice and friendly customer service at any one of their other three stores located in Nowra, South Nowra and Huskisson.
Phillipa Loadsman concluded: “We want to thank you for your business and for the personal relationships we have fostered over the past three decades.
We have gratefully enjoyed the support of the community since the early 90’s in Sanctuary Point and hope to still remain of service to you.
With our closest location being Huskisson, less than 15 minutes drive away we hope that you will visit our team at that location for all your hardware and timber needs”.
