There are lot’s of thankful boaters across the state with Marine Rescue New South Wales carrying out a record number of emergency missions in the year ending June.
Marine Rescue Commissioner Alex Barrell attributes 183 of those to Shoalhaven and Jervis Bay crews.
He said there were 4 thousand 567 rescues statewide and ten thousand people were carried back to shore safely.

June has also kept marine rescue crews with Jervis Bay and Shoalhaven vessels being called out 14 times just last month.
