Sanctuary Point residents remain on flood watch for a second day as torrential rain continues to fall across the Shoalhaven.
Homes were inundated again yesterday as flash flooding hit the suburb.
Rain totals in excess of 200 mm have been recorded causing widespread inundation across the region and social media has been flooded with images.
Roads, again have been hard hit with severe damage reported.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting easing conditions throughout Friday although intense localised rainfall could cause more flash flooding before the system moves further north.
Motorists are being urged to drive to the conditions and to not drive through floodwater after the SES reported multiple flood rescues in the past 24 hours.
The SES is continuing to closely monitor the situation and additional crews from outside the region are arriving in the Shoalhaven today to assist local volunteers.
