South Coast MP Shelley Hancock said, “FRNSW firefighters are regularly recognised on the national and international stage as being among the most highly trained in the world and I know the Ulladulla crew will do our community proud.”

The two-day competition will test the skills, professionalism and training of regional firefighters, with events simulating a range of fire and rescue situations.

Crews will compete in a range of diverse events including the Booster Valve and High Rise Bag, Urban Pump Collector and Ladder, the Urban Disabled Pump challenge and Hose, Hydrant and Extinguisher assembly.

Minister for Emergency Services and Resilience Steph Cooke said the event provides firefighters with a unique opportunity to work together and develop their operational skills.

“While our firefighters train for months to win the title, the Championships have the more serious purpose of sharpening skills that are critical in real life emergencies,” Ms Cooke said.
