Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has today condemned local Illawarra and South Coast Labor MPs for their failure to deliver a single sod on a roads project they promised our local community at the last Federal and State elections.
“The wheels of government don’t just turn slowly under the Albanese and Minns Labor Government’s, now they have come to a grinding halt!” Mr Ward said.
“Now Labor MP’s across the Illawarra and South Coast are re-announcing budget items we already knew about since the Federal Budget!
“Instead of Labor focussing on its glossy brochures and newsletters, our local community would prefer to see them with shovels in hand and actually commencing work on the Nowra Bypass, the East Nowra Sub Arterial Road and the Milton Ulladulla Bypass which is what Labor promised to do.
“So far, Labor hasn’t turned a single sod on a roads project it promised to voters at the last election. This is completely unacceptable.
“It’s time Labor actually delivered results for our region and not just empty spin,” Mr Ward concluded.
